Strange things have been happening here in this town, located just one hour outside of Philadelphia. People have been reported missing, and several lives have been lost already, the work of a serial killer on the loose. But people are going about their normal routine, not thinking that they're going to be next. But it keeps happening - the disappearances and murders are becoming more and more frequent.

Family, loved ones, friends, and enemies keep disappearing, sometimes unnoticed. It's unusual for this quiet town, where everybody knows everybody else.

Dank sga_art_santa habe ich jetzt auch zum ersten Mal das Manip-Äquivalent zu der Vidding-Situation gesehen, wenn jemand einen Song für ein Pairing benutzt, den schon jemand anderes genau für das gleiche Pairing geviddet hat. ^^° Zum Vergleich: Stately (2009) und Rodney and John as Henry VIII and Charles Brandon from the Tudors (2007).

The Story of Mr. Emrys: Being the History of His Peculiar Life at Goncourt (2/5?) von fromward (Merlin/Arthur, AU, Preslash, this part: 8112 words; all parts so far: ~14,300 words). Boarding School AU, [Part 1]. Die Welt ist interessant und schillernd ausgearbeitet, das Äquivalent zu Merlins Magie in der Serie erfrischend ungewöhnlich, die Charaktere gut getroffen und die Beziehungsdynamik bewegt sich an der Stelle zwischen der ersten und zweiten Episode, wo Merlin und Arthur sich eigentlich noch spinnefeind sind, aber schon eindeutig mehr in der Luft liegt. Mir hat der erste Teil bereits so gut gefallen, dass ich ihn empfohlen habe, obwohl die Geschichte noch ein WIP ist, und nach diesem zweiten Teil steht die Story nun an erster Stelle meiner Merlin-AU-Favoriten. :)

Step by Step von yavannauk (Merlin/Arthur, 991 words). Kurz, taugt aber trotzdem als kleine Nascherei für zwischendurch.
The first time that Arthur lay with Merlin it was out of necessity rather than for any other reason.

Bwaha! (Bevor sich jemand davon abschrecken lässt, das ist eigentlich eine Post-Tentakel-Story. Mit anderen Worten, das Tentakeling passierte vorher. *kicher*)

Conversation by the Fireplace von givemethebook (Gen, ~1400 words). Die Story wirft einen Punkt bezüglich Merlins Herkunft auf, auf den ich bisher noch gar nicht gekommen bin. Der eigentliche H/C-Aspekt ist der emotionale Beistand, den Arthur Merlin leistet.
Summary: Merlin keeps Arthur company, while the prince recovers from a bad cold. Talking ensues...

If you write Kyou Kara Maou! Fanfic, then I will take for granted that you watched the series. We can all agree that Yuuri is very optimistic, right? But he isn't downright stupid.

Sorry but... Putting this story a year or five into the future does not excuse the OOC-ness of it all. You pretty much massacred the reason why Yuuri makes a good king (he at the very least would listen and try to talk to Sara even if Sara wasn't Wolfram), while paying lipservice to it (why they didn't just attack Shou Shimaron). You made Wolfram the "mistress" of the king, without even thinking about reputations (seriously, when this gets out, Waltorana would kill Yuuri, no matter what Shinou and the laws says).

And you reduced two strong female characters (Anissina and Cecilie) into stereotypes (feminazi and whore).

Does somebody here have a clue what happened to Sacrilege, authoress of the 'Worthy' series?

Her LJ (sacrilege696) is blank, without any note why she's gone, and her website 'Tarnished' is gone too. I really hope she's well.

I asked the same some days ago on snarryficfind, but I didn't get an answer other than requests for a copy of her fics. Maybe here is someone around who knows what happened to her.

Wenn ich Meta-Gedanken zu Merlin hätte, dann darüber, dass Merlins Job in der Serie einer ist, der im wirklichen Leben öfter herablassend als Frauenarbeit bezeichnet wird, er jedoch die männliche Hauptrolle spielt, was Arthur trotz seiner männlichen Kämpfernatur an die Stelle rückt, wo man Merlins "female love interest" vermuten würde. Aber warum sich Gedanken darüber machen, wenn es doch Vids gibt, die den Punkt immer wieder unterstreichen?

Vid: Ballad of a Teenage Queen von halcyon_shift (Merlin/Arthur). Arthur ist eine Prinzessin und Merlin der Junge vom Lande. Die Geschichte kennt man, und trotzdem ist sie immer wieder schön. Ich musste auch über Gaius' Labor als Candy-Shop und Lancelot als Agent aus Hollywood lachen. :D

Vid: The Dance von mamoru22 (Merlin/Arthur). Das Vid hat mich auch sehr glücklich gemacht, wenn auch aus anderen Gründen. Hier waren es die ganzen fliegenden Herzchen und die lockere und verspielte Stimmung, weswegen die letzte Einstellung für mich nicht ganz die richtige Note getroffen hat, aber das tat dem Genuss des Vids keinen Abbruch.

Fic: Context von andthedescent (Merlin/Arthur, 1164 words). Die Story ist schon etwas älter, aber ich habe sie erst jetzt gelesen und vielleicht bin ich nicht die Einzige, die sie verpasst hat. Merlin und Arthur werden unterwegs von der Kälte überrascht und müssen Unterschlupf suchen. Das Problem, wie man am besten das Erfrieren vermeidet, lösen sie auf typische untypische Art. :D
